Nuvo Iron™, an international steel fence and ornamental manufacturing company located in the Peel region, recently completed their pledge in support of William Osler Health System (Osler) Foundation’s $30 million campaign to help equip the Peel Memorial Centre for Integrated Health and Wellness.

“Equipping the new Peel Memorial takes a lot of community support and we are incredibly grateful to Nuvo Iron™ for its fundraising efforts,” said Maureen Sheahan, Vice-President Philanthropy, Osler Foundation. “Their leadership will raise sights and inspire philanthropy throughout our community in support of this important project.”

To help reach their fundraising target, Nuvo Iron™ held a gala at the Glen Eagle Golf Club in February. The event, which was attended by over 200 people, raised over $10,000 in support of Peel Memorial. Additional donations from Nuvo Iron™ and its supporters following the gala have resulted in a total contribution of $25,000.

“Peel Memorial’s need for funding doesn’t end with the building. It extends to the life-saving equipment inside,” says Carlos Pacheco, President of Nuvo Iron™. “This is why Nuvo Iron™ stepped forward to host a Gala with the help of suppliers, clients and friends. Together we helped raise enough funds to equip a Cardiac Diagnostics exam room.”

Carlos and his family have lived in Brampton since 1989 and have used the health system extensively. They hope that their contribution will inspire other business leaders to help Peel Memorial fund much-needed technology for Brampton’s fast-growing community.
“Every dollar counts and every supporter makes a difference,” said Pacheco.

Osler Foundation recently honoured donors who helped support the campaign through plaque presentations, which included recognition in the Cardiac Diagnostics department to gratefully acknowledge Nuvo Iron’s™donation.
