Etobicoke Wellness Centre and new patient tower steadily taking shape! Image
With the hospital’s two new buildings steadily taking shape, the transformation of Osler’s Etobicoke General continues!
The first new building is the Etobicoke Wellness Centre (EWC) – a six-storey, 200,000 square foot structure to replace the existing medical office building serving Etobicoke and surrounding communities. The bright and contemporary EWC will house several of Osler’s outpatient services, including a fracture clinic, diagnostic imaging services, and a new, 30-station satellite dialysis program.
Etobicoke General’s new four-storey patient tower is also progressing well. When opened in early 2019, the patient tower will be home to the services most urgently needed by the community, including a larger emergency department, expanded cardiac care, intensive care, and maternal newborn areas, as well as a new ambulatory procedures unit and cardiorespiratory and neurodiagnostic services.
The support for Etobicoke General’s redevelopment from donors has been tremendous so far but we still need your help. For a limited time, your donation will be doubled as part of Orlando Corporation’s $15 Million Matching Challenge.
A sneak peek at a Cardiac Care Unit patient room. This is just one of many “mock up” rooms that strive to replicate some of the most common rooms to be built in Etobicoke General’s new patient tower.
