William
Osler Health Centre Foundation’s Canadian Sikh Committee,
in association with William Osler Health Centre (WOHC) and the
Sikh community are pleased to bring this event to Brampton Civic
Hospital.
Akhand Paath is the name given to the practice by Sikhs of the
continuous recitation without any break of the Guru Granth Sahib
Ji, the Sikh scripture, from beginning to end of its 1430 pages.
The recitation or "Paath” will honour and celebrate
Brampton Civic Hospital. The ceremony lasts about 48 hours
and is carried out by a team of readers, who read one at a time.
Brampton
Civic Hospital, located at Bovaird Drive and Bramalea Road, will
open the doors to its first patients on October 28, 2007. With
over 1.2 million square feet of space, new regional programs and
clinical improvements, BCH will provide outstanding care and services
to a growing population base.
