The Golf Ball wins BiZBash Award March 12, 2007, Brampton, Ontario - The Golf Ball, the inaugural signature gala of William Osler Health Centre Foundation, recently captured a BiZBash.TO Event Style Award for Best Nonprofit Event Concept for 2006. The Golf Ball is a fusion of elegance and sport. Held last November, the event melded the etiquette and camaraderie of a golf game with the fine dining, signature cocktails and entertainment of a black-tie affair. The Best Nonprofit Event Concept is awarded to the organization whose concept demonstrates originality, creativity and an innovative and effective theme. “This award was won because of a tremendous team effort by Foundation staff members and our volunteers paying careful attention to detail and to what donors really expected out of a signature gala event,” says Kate MacDonald, the Foundation’s Vice President, Development. “We rely on the generosity of our donors to further health care excellence in this community. This was our chance to give back to the supporters of Etobicoke General Hospital, Peel Memorial Hospital and Brampton Civic Hospital by dreaming up a concept that they would remember and enjoy for many years.” The Golf Ball 2007 gala takes place on Saturday, November 3 at the Toronto Congress Centre.
